Financial Support

To support Ambassador efforts to promote GraphQL far and wide, the Foundation is glad to offer limited financial support through its crowdfund. Please see that link for details of how to request support.

Supported activities​

  • Locally producing stickers or printed handouts for an event
  • Travel to give a GraphQL talk
  • Travel to staff a booth at an event
  • Other reasonable suggestions, please ask!

Travel expenses​

Travel expenses are the most costly form of support, therefore there is additional guidance for them:

  • Check to see if your employer can help first
  • The activity you are doing must be directly related to promoting GraphQL
  • Travel support may be used for transportation, hotel stay, or per-diem
  • The following limits apply (these may change without notice):
    • Domestic travel requests must not exceed USD $500
    • International travel requests must not exceed USD $1000
    • Total travel support for a single ambassador in a given year must not exceed USD $1000

Honorarium for content creation​

Honorariums for content creation are also available through a process similar to the Community Grant. There will be a maximum yearly amount available, paid from the Marketing budget. A guide to the amounts available should be published once the amounts are agreed, and a revision process is expected.
